March 17, 2006
Dear Kathleen
On Thursday March 16, 2005 with the advise of legal
counsel, the KRFC Board of Directors voted to revoke
your membership with KRFC pursuant to KRFC By-Laws,
Article III, Section 1. The BoD believes that you have
conducted "activity that is detrimental to the welfare
of the Corporation" by creating a hostile environment
at the station and disparaging the staff and board of
KRFC in the community.
A direct consequence of this action is that you are in
violation of the KRFC Programmer Contract that you
signed on August 23, 2005 (attached). All programmers
are required to be KRFC members in good standing.
For the reasons stated above you may no longer vote in
KRFC elections and you are longer a programmer at
KRFC.
If you chose, you may continue to volunteer at KRFC in
other non-programmer capacities, however, we believe
that you have violated several of the expectations and
responsibilities for KRFC volunteers. If you choose to
continue to volunteer, the Station Manager will be
using the procedures outlined in the Expectations and
Responsibilities for KRFC Volunteers, August 2005
policy to enforce the consequences of your actions. If
you choose to resign your volunteer duties, we will
not pursue further actions. Please notify the station
manager in writing if you would like to continue to
volunteer at KRFC or if you would like to resign.
Sincerely,
Beth Flowers for the Board of Directors
